To the Editor:

It’s not all bad news.

The day before the funds were set to be delivered on July 1, “The Trump administration announced it would withhold $811 million in grant funding [to California schools].” (Source: http://bit.ly/3JypZhk)

On July 25, funding was restored after pressure led by Congresswoman Alma S. Adams, Ph.D. (NC-12) and other House Democrats. (Source: http://bit.ly/4fDTUAE)

It’s a lot of ongoing work, but people can and do make a difference.
