California is not waiting. While a federal executive order targeting mail-in voting winds through the courts — challenged by California and more than 20 other states — the state has made its position clear: starting May 4, every registered voter will automatically be sent a mail-in ballot for the June 2 primary. You can expect your ballot to arrive unless you’re not registered or your address is out of date. Here’s how you can prepare to make your voice heard.
Verify your voter registration
To check the status of your voter registration, go to voterstatus.sos.ca.gov and follow the instructions. You’ll need your first and last name, date of birth, and either your California driver’s license or ID number, or the last four digits of your Social Security number.
- If your information is correct, you’re done.
- If you need to update any information or you’re not registered, go to registertovote.ca.gov. The last day to register online is May 18 to vote in the June 2 primary election.
Learn about your representatives
- Tuolumne County is divided into five districts, each represented by a member of the Board of Supervisors. To find yours, use the Tuolumne County Supervisor District Lookup Map and enter your address.
- To identify what school district you live in, go to Tuolumne County School Districts, scroll down to the Search map, enter your address, and follow the instructions in the left-hand bar to find your school district.
- To find your State Assembly member and State Senator, go to Find Your California Representatives and enter your address.
